Desde el 2009, Costas Verdes, una asociación sin fines de lucro, ha liderado la única iniciativa de reforestación del bosque costero en el país. Con un modelo exitoso y replicable, están listos para llevar su impacto positivo a todas las playas de Costa Rica. 💪🇨🇷
Los esfuerzos que realizan, son cruciales para regenerar el bosque costero devastado por la ganadería y la construcción, entre otras cosas. Necesitamos playas ordenadas, con sombra y bordeadas por bosques para el bienestar de la vida silvestre, el turismo y nuestra economía. 🦜🌱🏖️
Hasta la fecha, han sembrado 84,002 árboles, reintroducido 92 especies nativas en 27 comunidades costeras, ¡todo gracias a la ayuda de 10,562 voluntarios! 🌳💚
Trabajan con gobiernos locales, instituciones estatales, centros educativos, grupos comunitarios, vecinos, visitantes y el sector privado, con la intención de expandir su proyecto por toda la costa pacífica. 🌍✨

Do you know about the Costas Verdes association?
Since 2009, Costas Verdes, a non-profit organization, has led the only coastal forest reforestation initiative in the country. With a successful and replicable model, they are ready to bring their positive impact to all the beaches of Costa Rica. 💪🇨🇷
Their efforts are crucial for regenerating the coastal forest devastated by livestock farming and construction, among other things. We need organized beaches with shade and bordered by forests for the well-being of wildlife, tourism, and our economy. 🦜🌱🏖️
