Costa Rica Wins Award for Best Stand Design at WTM
The stand that Costa Rica presented in London during its participation at the World Travel Market, the most important fair of the English market, won recognition for outstanding design.The judges awarded the distinction to the national stand after considering that it conjugated a variety of sound effects from the tropical jungle and music and that the design in general gave the feeling of being in the country, which meant for visitors the chance of experiencing Costa Rica for a bit.In the Excel Convention Centre in London, the tico stand struck by its color and natural abundance that emphasized on the country’s sustainability as a differentiator over other markets.Allan Flores, Minister of Tourism, stressed the importance of Costa Rica being present at such important fairs along with other 25 national companies, exposing the valuable tourism product that stands out as a developing model of environmental responsibility in the tourism industry."We welcome this important recognition. ICT will continue to work hard in promoting the destination in highly profitable markets for the country. This is why we will join forces to ensure effective projection of the destination in the European market,” said Flores.
