Educarte Is the New Site in Guanacaste of Saint Joseph School
Since September 1rst, the Early Learning Center Educarte became the new site in Guanacaste of the prestigious educational community of Saint Joseph School.
The announcement was made by representatives of both schools, who have partnered to offer a high quality educational option to the community of Tamarindo and coastal areas of Santa Cruz.
"This is excellent news for our students and the community as to this school year starting in September. Educarte joins an educational institution of long tradition in the country with excellent academic programs, which will decisively lead in an improvement in the quality of education our children deserve," said Maria Fernanda Jimenez, from Educarte.
With over 40 years of experience in the education of children and adolescents, Saint Joseph School is an educational organization in San Jose with over 700 students, whose aptitudes and skills are encouraged through a comprehensive educational plan.
For Maria Fernanda Jimenez, the union of both schools is given as a business alliance where everyone brings their best: expertise, working methods, academic strengths and educational administration.
"This merger is of great importance for the development of the area since it guarantees the possibility of having an education option of excellence as St. Joseph’s and Educarte’s, which is an institution aware of the local population’s heterogeneity and its characteristics, and has grown in just 5 years with high educational standards, hand in hand with promotion of art and creativity," said Jimenez.
Educarte is known for being an innovative school; it is currently undergoing a conditioning process at its facilities, necessary to promptly obtain all permits and accreditation by the Ministry of Public Education.
One of the main benefits to the community, as María Fernanda says is that, now knowing that Educarte will be Saint Joseph’s official site, students that travel to Liberia and Santa Cruz looking for recognized institutions with high level programs will not have to commute far from their neighborhood to receive an education that meets the requirements of a competitive world, and that will take into account the respect towards customs, language, values and Costa Rican traditions, which must be present in student life.
Saint Joseph, based in Educarte, will continue its curricular approach of bilingual education (English / Spanish) using the constructivist methodology, where students learn by constructing knowledge, acquiring skills and habits of logical creative thinking, so providing them with tools for developing their emotional intelligence.
"The English language is learned through a methodology of language interaction. Our teachers are English native speakers from North America; unlike many other institutions, English is not taught as a translation process from Spanish. Our students achieve to express themselves fluently both verbally and in writing in English and Spanish, in accordance their academic level," said Maria Fernanda Jimenez.
Educarte, as Saint Joseph’s site, will continue to teach humanistic education, artistic expression, music, swimming, computers, sports, agriculture and environmental care and values.
Groups are constituted by no more of 15 students, so ensuring a more personalized attention, according to Maria Fernanda Jimenez.
"Each of our students counts," she said.
